Delete Your Account

Request permanent deletion of your ShufaTV account and the personal data associated with it. You don't need to be signed in.

We'll email you a link to confirm. Nothing is deleted until you confirm, and you can cancel any time during the 30-day window.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and login credentials
  • Your name, email address and phone number
  • Your profile photo and display preferences
  • Your watch history and playback progress
  • Your saved list and viewing preferences
  • Any remaining wallet balance (this is forfeited — see below)
  • Device and session records tied to your account

What we have to keep

We cannot delete records we are legally required to retain:

  • Payment and transaction records are kept for 7 years to meet Kenyan tax and accounting obligations, then permanently deleted. These are retained in a restricted financial ledger and are not used for any other purpose.
  • Anonymised, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely.

How long it takes

  1. Submit the form above with your account email address.
  2. We email you a confirmation link. It expires in one hour, and nothing is deleted until you open it.
  3. Once confirmed, deletion is scheduled for 30 days later. This window exists so a request made in error — or from a compromised account — can still be reversed.
  4. To cancel during that window, email privacy@shufatv.com from the same address.

This cannot be undone

After the 30-day window, your account and data are permanently erased. Any active subscription is cancelled without refund, and any remaining wallet balance is forfeited. If you only want your personal data removed but would like to keep your account and subscription, use data deletion instead.
